We are happy to introduce an artist from the United States and a finalist of our Moments of Life competition held in November 2025. Tanya Finch works exclusively with graphite pencils, creating detailed and emotional drawings. She kindly agreed to answer a few of our questions for this feature.

1. How would you introduce yourself in one phrase: who you are and what you create (genre, style, technique)?
   I am a self taught graphite artist,I just love to draw anymals, kids, people

   
   

2. What is special about your technique? Why this medium?
   Since a kid I was always facinated with a black and white drawing,I only use graphite pencils to draw

   Tanya Finch continues to gain recognition in the art world, earning 13 American Art Awards, a Gold Award from Camelback Gallery, and numerous merit awards and honorable mentions.
