We are pleased to introduce Ivelina Dagsvold, a visual artist and finalist of the Connections competition, held on Curatone.art in June 2026.
Ivelina practices an intuitive and esoteric approach to fine art, creating vibrant, emotionally resonant visual experiences. By combining traditional acrylic painting with fluid, experimental techniques, she explores the boundaries of human perception, ego transformation, and spiritual harmony. Through her work, Ivelina visualizes unseen energies and dream-born symbolism, inviting the viewer on a deeply personal journey of self-healing and positive vibration.

How would you introduce yourself in one phrase: who you are and what you create (genre, style, technique)?
Creative spirit, artist, fashion designer, painting on clothes. Ivelina Dagsvold – Bulgarian origine, living in Norway. I create paintings that reflect the unseen, energies, vibration from the unseen. What is special about your technique? Why this medium?
Most ideas come in my dreams, from silence or during meditation. There is always a message from the other side that comes up and I feel I should convey it in the pictures. The ideas are usually based on liberation of the ego, freedom and an ultimate journey, journey to worlds that we do not perceive with ordinary eyes. Basic principle - self-healing, mysticism, transformation, introspection (towards focusing on oneself and finding the light within oneself), trust in the good, self-insight. Works with strong colors, colors that give life and energy, colors are vibrations and in the world we live in today needs positivity, smiles and good vibrations. Paints intuitively, starts with an idea and lets it develop during the process, without limitations. The esoteric process is an endless process. There is always something to share through the paintings. Uses acrylic and experiments with water as a technique. Along the way, many faces or figures appear unproven in the paintings that you do not see right away. A picture is almost never finished right away. Come back to it later and develop it intuitively until it feels finished. Very often I use the female body – more as energy than as a specific form. Visualizing energies, ego-breaking and self-portraits with personal experiences, totem animals that come up in dreams with signals or protection. We are much more than physical bodies and brains. We are energies that are often not visible to the naked eye. For a few years now I have been developing my own concept – “Happy faces, happy colors”, where I paint smiling portraits with the colors of the chakras. The idea is that when you feel depressed, you look at your portrait and say to yourself: “Smile, life is good – keep your head up, keep moving forward!” The paintings from this concept are intended to give the viewer harmony and balance the energy centers. If someone were searching for your work on Google, what keywords do you think they would type?
Spirituality. Esoteric art. Inner world. Dissolving of ego. Inner healing. Breaking the sirkle of karma. See the unseen.
