TOUCH OF SILENCE

This black-and-white photographic series explores the emotional language of movement through hair, wind, light, and partial presence. The images exist between portrait and abstraction, where identity dissolves into texture, rhythm, and atmosphere.

Dinara Akhmerova is a contemporary artist and creator of an original artistic method, shaping a new direction at the intersection of visual art, embodied memory, and social transformation.

Her practice is rooted in her personal experience of overcoming violence, transforming it into a powerful visual language through which women reconnect with themselves, reclaim their voice, and redefine their identity.

The flowing strands become a visual metaphor for memory, vulnerability, freedom, and the invisible emotional states carried within the body. By removing full visibility of the face and focusing on fragments, motion, and softness, the work invites the viewer to feel rather than simply observe.

The monochrome palette emphasizes contrast, shape, and sensation, creating a timeless and cinematic atmosphere. Each image captures a fleeting moment where stillness and movement coexist — revealing the fragile space between control and surrender.

This series reflects on the relationship between inner emotional states and external physical expression, transforming ordinary movement into a poetic visual experience.
