5. Reviewer guidelines

Reviewers are members of the Editorial Board and invited specialists. Each manuscript goes to two reviewers with relevant expertise, who return a written assessment within three weeks.

OriginalityDoes the contribution add something not already covered by existing literature or practice?
Rigor & methodAre claims supported by evidence, documented practice, or a clearly stated methodology?
Clarity & structureIs the argument followable, and does the writing serve the reader rather than the author?
Sources & citationAre references accurate, sufficient, and correctly attributed, including image credits?
Relevance to scopeDoes the work sit within contemporary art, design, and their social context?

Reviewers recommend one of four outcomes: accept, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit, or decline. Conflicts of interest, shared affiliation, recent collaboration, or prior knowledge of the author's identity, must be declared, and the manuscript is reassigned. Reviewers may not cite, share, or use an unpublished manuscript in their own work. Completed reviews are documented, and reviewers may request a certificate of service for their professional record.

6. Publication terms

Submission and publication are free of charge: the journal has no article processing, submission, or publication fees. Accepted articles are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0); authors retain copyright. Every article receives a registered DOI and is permanently archived. There are no reader fees. Authors receive a publication record suitable for professional documentation.

Submissions must be original, previously unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere. Authors confirm originality and agree to the license terms at submission.
