Elizaveta Akimova (also known as Elizaveta Sanglier) is a contemporary artist, Honorary Member of the Academy of Contemporary Arts, member of the Professional Union of Artists of Russia, member of the Eurasian Art Union, professional illustrator. She lives and works in Berlin.

Elizaveta is a talented artist with a unique approach to reinterpreting classical art in the context of modernity. Elisabeth was trained in a private studio in St. Petersburg, studied at the Academy of Arts and at the Atelier de Arte Realista do Porto drawing school in Portugal, combining in her works the traditions of Russian and Western academic schools.

The main directions of the artist's work are the rethinking of classical art, its interrelation with postmodern culture and contemporary art. Her works delve into the archetypal stories of world culture, exploring their relationship to the anxieties and anxieties of modern man.

Just as the Renaissance was a reinterpretation of the achievements of antiquity adapted to the realities of the time, Elizaveta's work explores the ways in which classical techniques and subjects can be adapted into contemporary settings. Her works unite past and present, tradition and modernity.

The artist is actively involved in exhibition activities, presenting her works not only in Russia, but also in the USA and Britain, and collaborates with art connoisseurs all over the world. In 2023, Elizaveta was awarded a silver and bronze medal at the prestigious international Art Excellence Awards.
