About the theme

Abstract is a new Curatone theme for work that does without a recognisable subject: composition, color, line, texture, gesture and structure carry everything.

Any medium is welcome, from painting and drawing to mixed media, textile, photography and digital work. We look for abstraction that is deliberate and resolved, where every decision on the surface counts.
