About the artist
Oana Mazarache is a Romanian visual artist based in Iași, Romania. She holds both a B.F.A. and an M.F.A. in Painting from the George Enescu National University of Arts. A full member of the Artists’ Union of Romania (UAP), Mazarache has exhibited extensively in national and international group and solo shows. Her work has been recognised with several distinctions, including the Artist of the Month Prize on the ArtJobs platform, the Graphics Prize at the Nicolae Tonitza International Art Biennale, and the Golden Palette Award for Painting in Bitola, North Macedonia, along with multiple nominations on open calls. Her practice merges figuration and symbolic abstraction, exploring human perception, memory, and transformation through layered, chromatically sensitive compositions.
